The Freetown Senior Citizens Center keeps people warm in the winter and cool in the summer. When the electricity is off at their homes they can come, a generator is provided. It is a great place for fellowship. A pitch in is provided for the second Thursday of each month. No one is turned away. Health programs are scheduled for 2014 with blood pressures taken. Some of the women make crafts and lap throws and donate the throws to shut-ins and nursing homes. The money from the crafts, etc pays for meat for pitch ins and donations to Jackson County United Way. Children are also welcomed and spoiled there!
