The Seymour Senior 107 Club is open to all Jackson County residents aged 55 and older, & currently has 48 members. In addition to being a social club, it supports the Thrive-Alliance meals program, the Seymour Community/Senior Center and the senior bus operated by the City of Seymour within the city limits. The club also sponsors buses to Chicago for Christmas shopping in Nov. & Dec. as fund raisers for club projects. The Seymour Senior 107 Club meets at the Seymour Community/Senior Center, 107 S. Chestnut St., the second Saturday of each month at 11 a.m. for a meeting, pitch-in dinner & games.
The Thrive-Alliance senior meals program, which is now called "The Gathering Place Cafe" supported by the club, is free & available to Jackson County Residents aged 60 & older. Meals are served 5 days a week at 11:30 a.m. at the Seymour Community/Senior Center. Meals are also served at Jackson County Senior Centers in Crothersville & Brownstown.
